Hi everyone,

 

My name is Mary Dubas and I am a lake-loving blessed teacher of a classroom full of firsties!  I have been an educator since 1990, beginning in Pleasanton, NE as a 6th grade teacher and volleyball coach, followed by 11 years of 2nd grade, and 7 years of 1st grade.  I began working at Kearney Public in 2010 teaching 4th grade at Northeast Elementary, 1st grade at Buffalo Hills and am thrilled to be part of the 1st grade team at Meadowlark!!  I have loved each part of my journey, but my heart is truly in the 1st grade where each day is filled with fun little personalities, enthusiasm and discoveries!!  In my own time away from school, I like to Junk Jaunt, read, exercise, be at the lake, create, listen to music and shop. My guilty pleasures are Hot Tamales, caramel M & Ms and flavored teas. 

 

I am looking forward to a year of successes and rewarding learning experiences. It is my hope that your child has an extremely positive year, filled with tremendous academic growth, as well as joy and laughter.  I will do everything I can to make learning a fun and enriching process for your child. However I need your help making this year as successful as it can be.  I strongly believe you and I are a TEAM working together to help your child develop emotionally, socially, & academically.  If we work together and communicate, your child will have a very successful year.
